Abstract
Al di là della dimensione reale o fittizia, il teatro di Agota Kristof offre un’ampia riflessione sugli effetti disumanizzanti del totalitarismo. L'Expiation, Le Monstre e La Route appaiono quindi come testi drammatici non solo storici o retrospettivi, nei quali lo spirito di Kristof e dei suoi personaggi è sempre gravato da problematiche legate al passato, ma anche come opere che illustrano le problematiche del nostro tempo e tutte le difficoltà che il presente ci rammenta.

Abstract
Beyond the real or fictional dimension, Agota Kristof’s theatre offers a comprehensive reflection on the dehumanising effects of totalitarianism. Thus, L’Expiation, Le Monstre and La Route appear not only as historical and retrospective dramatic texts, in which the minds of Kristof and of her characters are always burdened by issues linked to the past, but also as works that illustrate the problems of our time, all the difficulties we are constantly reminded of by the present.
