La réécriture française des chants XLIV-XLVI de l’Orlando Furioso de l’Arioste dans la tragicomédie Bradamante de Robert Garnier (1582)

Résumé. L’article montre les étapes d’un travail en cours (édition numérique) sur l’imitation des derniers chants de l’Orlando furioso de l’Arioste, réalisée par Robert Garnier dans sa tragicomédie Bradamante, publiée en 1582. La réécriture théâtrale de Garnier touche les domaines linguistique, générique, stylistique, et les multiples dimensions culturelles.

Abstract. The article describes the steps of the work in progress (digital edition) about Robert Garnier’s imitation of the last three canti of the poem Orlando furioso by Ludovico Ariosto, in the tragicomedy Bradamante, printed in 1582. The theatrical adaptation concerns linguistic, stylistic, literary genre changes in the dialogue between cultures.
